Ghana hosts Africa’s first-ever ENJOY AI 2025 Robotics & AI Open

Africa’s brightest young innovators converged in Accra for a historic event — the first-ever ENJOY AI 2025 African Open, a robotics and artificial intelligence competition that showcased the future of technology on the continent.
Organised by The MakersPlace in collaboration with the Accra Digital Centre, the two-day competition ran from September 26–27, 2025, bringing together over 300 students from more than five African countries, including Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Lesotho, and Morocco.
The event transformed the Accra Digital Centre into a hub of creativity, where teams battled it out with drones, robots, and AI-powered inventions.
Highlights included:
Geometric Forest – a playground of discovery for young innovators.
Cyber City – where coding meets problem-solving.
Battle of Tribes – robotics challenges testing speed and strategy.
Skyline Adventure Drone Challenge – high-flying competitions that thrilled the crowd.
Under the theme “Chasing the Stars,” ENJOY AI 2025 celebrated the power of imagination, innovation, and African excellence.
“This is more than a competition — it’s a movement,” said the organisers.
“We are witnessing the next generation of African scientists, engineers, and inventors.”
With its mix of education, competition, and fun, ENJOY AI 2025 cemented Ghana’s place as a leader in youth innovation, setting the stage for even bigger continental showcases in the years ahead.
