IIPGH, Azubi Africa sign MoU to promote digital skills in cloud computing & data science
The Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Azubi Africa, an accredited Amazon Web Services (AWS) company to deliver cloud computing and data analytics training and certification programmes to professionals.
As part of the MoU, IIPGH members will enjoy significant discounts on professional qualification training and will be exposed to the international job market for remote work.
Azubi Africa is a community of dedicated and committed individuals who have bought into the vision of enabling 10,000 jobs in Africa by 2025.
Azubi Africa says more than 23,000 job openings exist for front-end cloud developers and data scientists.
IIPGH is a professional association made up of professionals in various domains of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) practice.
It is a connector of ICT professionals from the ministries, departments and agencies of the government as well as educational institutions, corporate organisations, start-ups, investors and civil society organisations to create a vibrant ICT ecosystem.
It is a non-profit organisation formed to help tackle the following ICT human resource constraints such as low skill levels in emerging technologies, inefficiencies in generation technologies, fewer experts in critical areas, the lack of practical skills for innovation, research & development; and the lack of confidence in the human resource capacity across Africa.
