MOBEX Africa 2025 closes with a call to champion Africa’s digital future
The curtains have fallen on another inspiring edition of the MOBEX Africa Tech Innovation Conference and Awards, with organisers hailing the 2025 event as one of the most successful in the platform’s history.
In a closing statement, the founder and convener of MOBEX Africa, Spencer Quaye, expressed deep gratitude and pride, reflecting on the platform’s decade-long journey from a visionary idea to a continental movement for digital transformation.
“What began as a dream in 2013 — a vision to create a Pan-African technology platform — has now matured into a continental movement,” he said.
“From our first Africa Mobile Expo in 2015 through our challenging but defining years, MOBEX Africa has continued to evolve and inspire.”
This year’s conference brought together innovators, policymakers, corporate leaders, and startups from across Africa to explore emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, fintech, digital inclusion, and climate tech.
The event also featured exhibitions, investment pitches, and the prestigious MOBEX Africa Awards, which celebrated excellence in technology leadership and innovation.
Organisers attributed the event’s success to the collective effort of stakeholders across sectors — including government partners, corporate sponsors, development agencies, and media allies.
“To our government partners, corporate sponsors, and media allies — your support has been the wind beneath our wings,” the statement noted.
“To the innovators and startups — you are the heartbeat of MOBEX.”
Looking ahead, the MOBEX Africa leadership reaffirmed its commitment to driving collaboration, entrepreneurship, and policy innovation in shaping Africa’s digital future.
“As we turn the page, let’s carry forward the spirit of collaboration and the determination to own Africa’s digital narrative,” the statement concluded.
“MOBEX Africa will continue to be your partner, your amplifier, and your bridge to the continent’s future.”
