The critical role of verifiable identity in an era of rapid Artificial Intelligence adoption took centre stage at the recently concluded Africa Education Trust Fund (AETF) AI Conference.

The conference, which gathered thought leaders to explore how AI is transforming societal connectivity, communication, and evolution, featured a key address from Mr. Moses Baiden, CEO of Margins ID Group.

During his presentation, Mr. Baiden acknowledged the breakneck speed of technological advancement and the significant governance challenges it presents.

He issued a crucial caveat, emphasising the inherent limitations of technology in replicating human essence.

“While technology can mimic appearance and sound, it can never replace human intent,” stated Mr. Baiden, reinforcing the critical importance of trusted and verified data as the bedrock of a secure digital future.

His comments underscore the growing global concern over digital fraud and misinformation in the age of sophisticated AI, positioning robust identity verification as a non-negotiable safeguard.
