5 Ghana coaches attend FIFA Educators Assessment in Kigali as GFA deepens technical development drive
Five Ghanaian coaches are undergoing advanced technical training in Kigali, Rwanda, as part of the FIFA Coach Educators Development Pathway Assessment, a programme focused on improving the quality and structure of coaching education within member associations.
The five-member delegation brings together experience from both the national and club game, underscoring Ghana’s renewed push to upgrade its technical base and modernise coaching standards.
Heading the group is Maxwell Konadu, head coach of the Ghana U-20 national team, whose background at domestic and international levels is expected to add depth to the knowledge exchange sessions. He is accompanied by Prosper Narteh Ogum, who leads the Ghana U-17 national team, and experienced women’s football trainer Yusif Basigi.
Completing the team are youth development specialist Evans Adotey and Nana Kweku Agyemang of Vision FC. Their varied backgrounds across grassroots, youth, women’s and elite football reflect a strategic effort to ensure knowledge gained from the programme benefits every layer of the game back home.
The assessment pathway is structured to equip participants with contemporary coaching methodologies, performance evaluation tools and standardized educational frameworks.
Upon completion, attendees are expected to serve as resource persons within their associations, helping to refine local training systems and raise overall technical competence.
The initiative aligns with the broader vision of the Ghana Football Association to strengthen capacity building and harmonise its coaching education model with international best practices.
The exposure in Kigali is expected to translate into measurable improvements in grassroots, youth and elite football development across the country.
