Black Queens will triumph over Egypt - Krosbi Mensah assures ahead of WAFCON qualifier
Miss Betty Krosbi Mensah, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, has expressed strong confidence in the Black Queens ahead of their crucial 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt.
According to her, the national women’s team has demonstrated exceptional improvement, commitment, and tactical discipline in recent outings, which positions them as clear favourites going into the clash.
“The Black Queens have shown remarkable growth and competitiveness in recent times.
I have no doubt that they will deliver victory against Egypt and make the nation proud,” she noted.
Speaking to the media, she further emphasised that the Ministry of Sports and Recreation remains committed to providing the necessary technical and logistical support to the team as part of Ghana’s broader efforts to strengthen women’s football and restore the country’s dominance on the African stage.
The encounter with Egypt is a crucial step in Ghana’s journey toward securing qualification for the 2026 WAFCON tournament. A win will not only boost the morale of the playing body but also reinforce the renewed confidence of Ghanaians in the team’s ability to reclaim continental glory.
The Black Queens are expected to intensify preparations in the coming days as they look to secure a convincing first-leg result.
