Edem Abgana appointed chairman of Elite U19 Championship

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Eric Edem Abgana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region, as the new Chairman of the Elite U19 Championship, a competition designed to nurture the next generation of football talent in Ghana.
In a statement following his appointment, Mr. Abgana expressed gratitude to GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and the Executive Committee for the confidence reposed in him.
“The U19 Championship is about the future of Ghana football.
Together with my colleagues, we shall work hard to make this championship a success,” he said.
He also extended appreciation to his family, friends, and well-wishers for their support, pledging to serve with dedication and commitment to the development of Ghanaian football.
The Elite U19 Championship is regarded as a crucial platform for grooming young players and preparing them for both domestic and international competitions.
Mr. Abgana, a football enthusiast’s leadership is expected to play a key role in shaping the competition’s impact and success.
