The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with FIFA, has taken its “Women's Football Campaign” to Tumu where the girls and young women received vital health education as part of efforts to promote healthy living beyond the football pitch.

The community outreach programme featured an interactive health education session that equipped participants with practical knowledge on personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, general wellness and cervical cancer awareness.

The session also created a safe space for open discussions, allowing participants to ask questions, address common misconceptions and gain a better understanding of healthy lifestyle choices. 

Organisers further stressed the importance of early detection, routine medical check-ups and seeking professional healthcare when necessary.

The initiative forms part of the broader GFA/FIFA Women's Football campaign aimed to use football as a vehicle to educate, empower and positively impact the lives of girls both on and off the field.

Beyond nurturing football talent, the campaign continues to equip young women with essential life skills and health knowledge, reinforcing the belief that the game can be a powerful tool for community development and personal empowerment.

The Tumu outreach marks another step in the campaign's commitment to creating healthier, more informed communities while inspiring the next generation of girls through the power of football.
