Kofi Adams pledges commitment to revitalizing Ghana’s sports

The Minister-designate of Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has assured Ghanaians of his dedication to delivering results in his new role, vowing not to disappoint the nation or President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking during his vetting before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, Mr. Adams acknowledged the mixed reactions to his appointment but expressed confidence in his ability to serve effectively.
“Some may have concerns, but many are happy with my nomination. I will not disappoint Ghanaians, I will not disappoint His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and I will certainly not disappoint myself. I am committed to delivering,” he stated.
Addressing concerns over the deterioration of sporting facilities, Mr. Adams assured that his administration would prioritize maintenance while also investing in new infrastructure.
“Under the leadership of the President, we will strengthen our maintenance culture.
We will not allow any facility to deteriorate to the extent that we face bans from using them.
With the resources available, we will ensure proper maintenance of existing infrastructure while also constructing new ones,” he emphasized.
His remarks reflect the government’s renewed focus on revitalizing Ghana’s sports sector, ensuring that facilities remain in top condition to support athletes and future generations.
