Otto Addo names 24-man squad for Chad- Mali WC qualifier

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has unveiled a 24-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
The squad includes key regulars such as Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Antoine Semenyo, and Inaki Williams.
Making his debut is Union Berlin defender Derrick Arthur Köhn, who earns his first call-up after impressing in the Bundesliga. The 26-year-old left-back joined Union from Galatasaray this summer, following a productive loan spell at Werder Bremen, where he made 27 appearances and scored twice.
Kamal Deen Sulemana, fresh from his move from Southampton to Serie A side Atalanta, also makes the list after a promising start in Italy. Elisha Owusu returns from a long injury layoff, while rising talent Caleb Yirenkyi is rewarded for his strong form with Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland and standout displays at the Unity Cup in London.
Tariq Lamptey is recalled to the squad, with Christopher Bonsu Baah and Ireland-based goalkeeper Joseph Anang also included for the crucial fixtures.
Ghana is currently top Group I of the African qualifiers with 15 points from six matches, boasting five wins and just one defeat. The Black Stars face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8.
