Para-Athletes honour NPC Ghana President with medals

The President of the Ghana Para Athletics Association, Foster Kwarteng, on behalf of the para-sport community and the nation, presented international medals to Mr. Samson Deen, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC-Ghana), in recognition of his leadership and dedication to the advancement of para-sports.
Ghanaian athletes Gilbert Ampiah and Zinabu Issah made a significant impact on the global stage at the prestigious Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Para Athletics Meeting held in Marrakech, Morocco, where they proudly brought home three medals.
Sixteen-year-old rising talent Gilbert Ampiah earned his first international medal with a remarkable jump of 1.73 metres in the Men's T44 High Jump.
Zinabu Issah, a national record-holder and seasoned competitor, secured a gold medal in the Women's F57 Discus Throw with a throw of 29.25 metres, and added a silver medal in the F57 Shot Put with a distance of 8.54 metres.
The medals were presented to Mr. Deen as a gesture of gratitude and motivation, underscoring the shared commitment to positioning Ghana as a leading force in African para-sports.
Expressing heartfelt appreciation, Mr. Deen praised the athletes for their dedication and achievements.
He encouraged young Ghanaians with disabilities to pursue their dreams with determination and aspire to reach the global stage.
The Marrakech event also served as a qualifying competition for the upcoming Commonwealth and Paralympic Games.
