Women's football: Ghana beats Senegal 1:0, rematch tomorrow April 8

Ghana’s Black Queens have beaten Senegal’s Teranga Lionesses by 1-0 in an international friendly.
The game took place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Senegal's Stade Lat-Dior.
Ghana’s goal came in the 24th minute achieved by Evelyn Badu via a header, Princess Marfo having provided a precise cross.
Senegal could not take advantage of Ghana losing a player, Anasthesia Achiaa, to a red card in the 63rd minute, adding a colour of resilience to the latter’s victory.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the two teams lock horns one more time as part of a 9-day training tour, aimed at fine-tune their play and strategies ahead of the upcoming Morocco 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
