McDan Aviation honoured as top indigenous company at Africa Business Awards
McDan Aviation Ghana Limited has been recognised as the Indigenous Company of the Year for aviation services at the Africa Best Business Awards Ghana 2025. The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, which gathered business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The event, which carried the theme “Honouring Business Brilliance, Shaping Africa’s Future,” focused on celebrating African enterprise and leadership. McDan Aviation, a subsidiary of the McDan Group, was selected for the honour based on its work in Ghana’s aviation sector and its representation of homegrown innovation.
The company’s Fixed Based Operations (FBO) at Kotoka International Airport played a central role in the recognition. This facility, the first of its kind in West Africa, offers dedicated services for private and executive flights. The award underscores the company's part in setting new benchmarks for aviation services in the region and showcasing Ghanaian expertise.
The Africa Best Business Awards is a platform for acknowledging business achievement in Africa.
