NPA briefs Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy on CRM policy
The Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy, under the leadership of Chairperson Hon Samuel Akyea, has conducted a productive visit to the National Petroleum Authority’s (NPA) Head Office.
The primary objective of the committee's visit was to familiarise committee members with the regulatory functions and operations of the NPA.
During the visit, the committee received detailed presentations that provided insights into the workings of the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund Directorate.
Additionally, an overview of the Cylinder Recirculation Module (CRM) was presented, offering the committee a comprehensive understanding of this aspect of the NPA's operations.
To enhance their understanding further, the committee, alongside NPA management, proceeded to visit an LPG bottling plant facility located in Tema.
This on-site visit allowed the committee members to gain firsthand insights into the practical implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Module (CRM) policy.
The engagement between the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy and the National Petroleum Authority aimed to facilitate an open dialogue and knowledge exchange, ensuring that the committee members were well-informed about the crucial functions and policies overseen by the NPA.
