AVS expressed outrage at Shattawale's mocking of Stonebwoy's disability, deeming it as disrespectful

The Accident Victims Support Ghana (AVS) has strongly condemned recent remarks made by Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, towards road accident victim Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in showbiz as Stonebwoy.

AVS expressed outrage at Shatta Wale's mocking of Stonebwoy's disability, deeming it as disrespectful and inciting discrimination against accident victims in Ghana.

In a statement issued and signed by its President, Rev Cyril Crabbe Benedict, the AVS called on Shatta Wale to issue an apology to Stonebwoy, as well as to all accident victims and their families.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to caring for and alleviating the suffering of road crash victims in Ghana.

"While it is impossible to completely prevent road crashes, we urge Ghanaians to support and encourage road accident victims,” the statement urged.

The AVS emphasised the importance of replacing insults with kindness and fostering a culture of inclusiveness and community support.

The organisation also thanked Chief of Staff and former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for extending support to accident victims and Stonebwoy during their difficult moments.

In a video circulated on social media, Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale mocks Stonebwoy with his disability.

In the video, Shatta Wale said, among many negative statements, that Stonebwoy was a bad person, hence God made him disabled.

This sparked comments on social media.
