Edem expresses disappointment as Agbeko rejects rehabilitation after a day-long support
Ghanaian musician Edem has voiced deep disappointment after fellow entertainer Agbeko refused to enter a rehabilitation programme despite intensive efforts to support him.
In a statement shared on Edem’s X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday, he explained that he and his team had spent the entire day with Agbeko, hoping to help him get back on a healthier path.
According to Edem, they accompanied him from a salon to an eatery, ensuring he felt supported and cared for throughout the day.
Edem added that they dedicated an extra four hours in the evening at the Pantang Health Facility, where professionals were on standby to enrol Agbeko into a rehabilitation programme.
However, despite the arrangements and guidance provided by experts, Agbeko reportedly refused to enter the facility.
“It’s with deep disappointment that I want to inform all well-wishers and family that the entire team followed up on Agbeko and did everything possible to get him on a new path… Even with professional effort and guidance, he refused to enter into a rehabilitation programme,” Edem wrote.
The musician thanked fans and well-wishers for their concern and assured the public that he remains committed to helping Agbeko in any way possible as they explore other means of support.
