Esther Smith management debunks 'widely circulated reports' Gospel star accused Alpha Hour leader of money for prayers
The management of UK-based Ghanaian Gospel musician Esther Smith has issued a statement dismissing reports circulating on social media that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers.
In a press release dated January 15, 2026, the management described the claims as false, misleading, and a distortion of facts.
According to the statement, no money was requested, demanded, or charged during their engagement with Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour team.
The statement said the team was treated with respect and dignity and received genuine pastoral care throughout their interaction. It added that adequate security and support were provided, and all engagements were conducted professionally.
Esther Smith’s management further stated that Pastor Elvis Agyemang has consistently shown "accountability, transparency", and integrity, stressing that any reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate and should be ignored.
The management has, therefore, urged the general public, members of the Alpha Hour community, and fans of Esther Smith to disregard the speculation and sensational reports circulating online.
It also called on media practitioners and bloggers to verify information before publication and to avoid content that could mislead the public or harm reputations.
The statement was signed by Esther Smith Management and, according to them, was issued "in the interest of truth, clarity, and peace".
