Fameye: Highlife star unveils new look, announces new character called Antonio with 'crazy bangers' promise

Highlife star Fameye has announced the advent of a new character, apparently taking over from Peter.
When he spoke to TV3, he spotted a moustache.
“There’s something coming onboard. If you see my looks, you can tell I’m looking like a policeman. My dad is a police man,” he explained. “If you see the hair around my lip, you see it’s a policeman child indeed. Italiano.”
According to the award-winning songwriter, this new phase was also spiritually inspired.
“The spirit is back. And this new look is called Antonio. Watch out for this character because it’s going to be crazy out here in Ghana,” he said.
“Antonio was brought by a spirit.”
Born Peter Peter Famiyeh Bozah, he underlined two of his recent releases, Fortified, which captured “how I’ve been striving through the industry my whole life” and Now Or Never featuring Afro-Dancehall originator Stonebwoy.
He promised there were even more exciting songs in store for his audiences.
“Watch out,” he exclaimed. “Crazy bangers are coming onboard soon.”
The Very Soon hitmaker confirmed that with the coming of the new alter-ego, he had seen three phases so far in his career as a rapper and singer-songwriter: Fameye, Peter, and Antonio.
When Peter took over from Fameye, the singer explained his focus was no longer commercial success and fame but rather being a messenger from God. The album Songs of Peter (2022) demonstrated his point. Peter compared to Fameye was introspective – employing religious themes, sonically and lyrically; strengthened the artiste’s hold on music fans; improved his brand placement; elevated the quality of his audience engagement during live performances; and brought with it immense commercial growth.
