The Ghana Tourism Authority, in collaboration with Africa Sponsors, has officially launched the FESTAC Tourism Festival 2025, with the aim of promoting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange across the African continent.
Speaking at the launch, Chairman of FESTAC Africa 2025, Mr. Yinka Ahioye, emphasised that the festival seeks to advance inter-African trade and foster cultural integration.

However, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr Abeku Santana, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning Ghana as the cultural hub of Africa.
According to him, tourism remains a vital pillar for national development, and Ghana’s economy stands to benefit significantly when the sector is given the necessary attention.
He urged Ghanaians to rally behind the festival and actively contribute to national progress.
On her part, Chief Executive Officer of FESTAC, Grace Mumo, encouraged Ghanaians to participate massively in the celebrations, while commending the nation for its renowned hospitality.
She expressed optimism that the festival will further enhance Ghana’s image as a leading cultural and tourism destination in Africa.
