"I didn't disappear; God was preparing me" – Herty Borngreat
Gospel musician Herty Borngreat has revealed that her time away from active ministry was a season of divine preparation rather than a setback.
Speaking on No.1 FM's Journey to Heaven show hosted by Taller Dee, Herty explained that after giving birth, she felt led by God to step away from the spotlight until the right time to return.
According to her, those who follow God closely will always recognize His direction, whether He is calling them to wait or to step forward.
"I am done giving birth, and it is God's time for me to come back. That is why I am back. If you follow God, He leads you and you hear His voice. If there is a reason for you to stay somewhere, He will let you know, and when the time comes, He will bring you out because He has prepared you to share what He has given you with the world," she said.
Herty stressed that her period of "hibernation" did not negatively affect her ministry. Instead, she described it as a time when God prepared her physically, spiritually, psychologically, and financially for the next phase of her calling.
"My hibernation has not affected my ministry because God has prepared me in many ways. He calmly prepared me well before bringing me out again, so nothing has been affected. In fact, I have gained a lot," she stated.
The gospel singer added that if she had remained constantly in the public eye, she might not have had the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, experiences, and personal growth she now possesses.
Speaking further, Herty said the period away from active ministry gave her the opportunity to acquire valuable experiences, knowledge, and personal growth that she believes will positively impact her work going forward. She noted that if she had remained constantly in the spotlight, she might not have had the same opportunity to develop herself in the various areas where God has now strengthened her.
