Radio personality Delay has said, to the consternation of social media users, she doesn’t know Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe.

On Twitter, an account with the handle @FlamesMyk left the message, “Your next interview should be with @_Lyricaljoe”, under a post of Delay’s to which she responded asking, “Who is he please?”

In another tweet, she quoted her initial controversial response insisting, “Never heard of him.”

Social media is in an uproar over this because earlier today, Tuesday 9 August 2022, rapper Lyrical Joe stoked the fires of his lyrical fight (better known in Hiplife/Hiphop as beef) with rapper Amerado by releasing a diss record titled ‘Baboon’.

Amerado responded with a diss record titled ‘Ponky Joe’.

Given rumours that Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay is secretly dating Amerado, some social media users opine she’s pretending not to know Lyrical Joe to spite him all the while showing allegiance to her lover.

In response to Delay’s claim, Twitter user @doppsymedia suggested, “You need to update yourself then, when it comes to showbiz in Ghana.”

Amerado is the 2022 3Music Awards Rapper of the Year while the current VGMA Best Rap Performer is Lyrical Joe.
