'Iron Boy': Black Sherif pays homage to Highlife icon Amakye Dede with 2nd album upcoming

As part of the roll out for his sophomore album, rapper, singer and fashion model Black Sherif has paid a courtsey call on Highlife icon Amakye Dede.
It is no secret after 2022's The Villain I Never Was, Black Sherif's next tape, expected in 2025, is named after Amakye Dede's 1998 classic, Iron Boy, which according to the artiste "was giving me so much headache" composition-wise till he settled for a Reggae perspective.
It took "about eight years to finish," he explained in a 2021 Joy Super Morning Show interview.
Incidentally, Highlife and Reggae are Sherif's ultimate inspirations.

In a video capturing their time together, Daniel Amakye Dede was seen heartily granting a photo opportunity to Mohammed Ismail 'Black' Sherif Kwaku Frimpong.
In one scene, Sherif smiled and said, "Serious!" alluding to Dede's catchphrase. Amakye Dede shook the hand of the tall star, lifted his eyes to look at him, and patted him proudly on the back as more stills were taken of them.
