American rapper and philanthropist Ja Rule has visited the Volta Region of Ghana as part of his tour of the country.

During his visit, he inaugurated a newly built six-unit classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School in the Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The classroom block forms part of an ongoing initiative that Ja Rule began last year in collaboration with the non-profit organization, Pencils of Promise (PoP).

The project aims to improve the learning environment for young students by providing better educational infrastructure.

Speaking during the event, Freeman Gobah, the Country Director for Pencils of Promise, lauded Ja Rule’s visit as a significant gesture, recognizing the progress made in educational infrastructure development in the region.

He explained that Pencils of Promise is committed to constructing essential infrastructure and sanitation facilities for schools, especially those lacking such amenities.

The organization also supports educators by introducing interactive teaching methods and classroom management strategies to enhance the overall learning experience.

Freeman Gobah reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to partnering with the government and other stakeholders to further improve the education system in Ghana.
