Kojo Blak quips his ‘Next Door’ hit is ‘Baltasar things’

Music sensation Kojo Blak has said the contents of his new song, Next Door featuring rap star Sarkodie, are reminiscent of Equatorial Guinea’s controversial high-ranking civil servant Baltasar Ebang Engonga.
Appearing on Abeiku Santana’s drive-time show on Okay FM, he did a performance of the chorus of Next Door acapella.
“I tell you these are Balthazar things but you’ll hear it next door,” he said right after singing, stifling laughter.
“Balthazar things but we’ve added melodies, sweet melodies.”
In Sarkodie’s verse, he hints at unspeakable intimate things he will do with his lover, bemoaning, “I’m the child of a pastor but you’ve filled my mind with Baltasar. God forbid in Jesus’ name. My God lives.”
During the month of November 2024, videos went viral on social media showing what looked like Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Head of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency, having sex with multiple women in multiple instances, including one that appeared to be in his office. The man shown in the videos displayed such enthusiasm in the act, it sparked a social media challenge and a dance.
In response to the disgraceful videos supposedly showing Baltasar with wives of high-profile officials in Equatorial Guinea prompted Vice-President Teodoro Obiang Mangue to warn civil servants caught having sex in their offices will face "severe measures". Again, he ordered for surveillance cameras to be installed in courts and ministries to combat "indecent and illicit acts".
The point of Kojo Blak’s Next Door, given his cryptic allusion, would be lovemaking so robust and passionate it would be unmissable to neighbours, inquisitive or otherwise.
