The Presidential Summit on Tourism 2023
The Presidential Summit on Tourism begins today, Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
The event is organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTAC), led by Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) led by Mr Akwasi Agyeman.
Themed 'Rethinking Tourism for Economic Growth and Job Creation', the two-day summit ends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
It is taking place at the presidential summer retreat, Peduase Lodge, Peduase, Eastern Region.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the special guest of honour.
Meanwhile, the GTA is celebrating its golden jubilee (50th anniversary). The authority is on a tourism drive dubbed 'Destination Ghana; We Are Open and Ready'.
