Lynx: Kuami Eugene responding to treatment in hospital

Lynx Entertainment has issued an assurance that Kuami Eugene is not in the grip of death as some rumours held, but actually recovering in hospital.

The Monica hitmaker suffered a frightening car accident at CP close to DStv's head office along the George Walker Bush N1 Highway, after the Achimota Overhead, towards the Dzowulu traffic light in the Greater Accra Region.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm, Sunday, 17 March 2024,

According to eyewitnesses, Kuami Eugene's Range Rover, registered GC 220-21, ran into a tipper truck from behind, resulting in significant damage to the swanky vehicle. 

Eyewitnesses again observed Eugene suffered a broken wrist and a deep cut on his right hand as a result of the accident.

ModernGhana Editor Emmanuel Ajarfor, happening on the scene, organised a vehicle to transport Eugene and his passenger to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for medical attention.

On social media, rumours were rife the Highlife/Afrobeats star's life appeared to be hanging in the balance.

In reaction, his record label Lynx Entertainment issued a statement categorically indicating "singer Kuami Eugene is alive and currently receiving treatment".

Lynx confirmed Eugene was not alone in the plight, and assured they were both "currently responding to treatment".

The Richie Mensah-founded music company appreciated "the outpour of love from fans, media and the general public" but asked same to give the artiste "much space at this moment as he begins his recovery".
