Mr Eazi searches for name for his Highlife band

Nigeria's Mr Eazi wants to launch a Highlife band.
Though he did not specify, it is plausible the singer-songwriter will be the band's front man.
On X, he wrote: "I wanna put together my highlife band."
On YouTube, however, the music and sports entrepreneur asked his fans to suggest names for the band.
Mr Eazi is an Afrobeats pioneer who first achieved stardom in Ghana working with Ghanaian-British record producer DJ Juls. Mr Eazi, born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, though Nigeria-born, is a proud student of Ghana's iconic Highlife and culture. His songs demonstrate his knowledge and creative use of Ghanaian languages, showcasing, also, his love for Ghanaian dishes; Bankulize (2014), Shitor (2016) and Tilipia (2017). His debut tape is From Accra to Lagos (2017). Mr Eazi schooled at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana, and his first music business, Banku Music, bears the name he prefers to call his style of music which mainly blends Ghanaian Highlife and Nigerian Afrobeat.
Highlife was created in the 1920s in the Gold Coast of West Africa (Ghana) by mixing traditional rhythms with music from the West, Jazz for instance, and progressively, Soul, Disco, and Funk, among others.
Mr Eazi’s Òròkórò featuring Angelique Kidjo is track 3 on his latest tape The Evil Genius (2023).
