'Pure Highlife!': Sefa Kayi exclaims dancing to FRA!'s music

“Pure Highlife,” Kwame Sefa Kayi has remarked, listening to the band FRA!’s Amen.
Kayi was treating his teeming audience to the song on Peace FM’s hugely popular Kokrokoo morning show, while reading messages.
Visibly enjoying the record but displaying his trademark elegant composure, the media icon praised FRA!
“Those are my guys,” he declared.
He demonstrated he knew the song’s lyrics, as he danced and joined the call and response that marks the hit which was originally released on May 10, 2024.

On Facebook today, August 5, FRA! reacted, “We’re dumbfounded watching the legend, Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi, the one and only Chairman General [heart emoji] vibe to our song ‘Amen’. What an honor! [thank you emoji] Thank you, Sir. We hope to meet you soon [thank you and heart emojis].”
Having worked in the media and entertainment industry for decades, Sefa Kayi's endorsement of FRA! and their music came as high acclaim, highlighting the quality of the band's musicianship and their acute sense of custodianship over Ghana's legacy pop music sound, Highlife.
The remix of Amen features Worship Harvest YXP from East Africa and was released on July 11, 2025.
FRA! is on their We Go Make Am Europe Tour at the moment, with a new tape, Live in Poland, released, capturing 10 explosive live performances of some of their hits and fan favourites.
