Road to the Bar: Van Vicker graduates with First Class Honours in LLB
Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur Van Vicker has graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, 19 June, and he announced the achievement on Instagram.
In his post, Vicker cautioned against equating academic results with professional competence in law. He noted that a First Class Honours in LLB reflects discipline and academic performance, but does not automatically translate into legal practice ability.
He added that success in the legal profession requires additional skills such as advocacy, emotional intelligence, integrity, and practical experience in court or advisory work, alongside continuous learning.
Vicker previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication from the African University College of Communications—now the African University of Communication and Business—and later obtained a Master’s degree from the same institution.
His entry into legal studies reflects a continued focus on academic advancement alongside his work in the entertainment industry.
The announcement has been met with public reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom have acknowledged his academic progress and consistency in furthering his education.
