Sincerely Accra podcast shoots to the sky, streaming on Qatar Airways worldwide

Ghana’s topmost podcast Sincerely Accra (SA) is now a treat on Qatar Airways worldwide.
In an exclusive interview with Class News’ Prince Benjamin (PB), Kwadzo Afeku, CEO and co-founder, Gold Coast Report (GCR), revealed details about the exciting news.
Q: How did this Qatar Airways collaboration happen?
A: Our hosting company Afripods is committed to amplifying African voices and stories, a value we both share and they reached out to us with the opportunity. From our end of year live podcast festival, MOSAIC, to connecting us with other podcasters when we visit other countries, the amazing team over at Afripods are key partners to our continued push to build and develop podcasting across the continent.
Q: How long in the making was this?
A: This has been a going conversation for the last year with Afripods negotiating hard on our behalf. Our efforts to stay the course as GCR is what got us across the finish line. Over 700+ episodes and 20+ podcasts over the last 8 years, honestly it’s amazing to be here.
Q: Does it cover specific flights or all of them around the world?
A: It covers all Qatar Airways flights worldwide. Here is the link to see us, look under western audio and scroll to the right.
Q: What does this mean to Sincerely Accra and, more broadly, to Ghana and its creatives?
A: Sincerely Accra continues to validate what Kwame Asante Ofori (Show Producer and co-creator), Joseph Nti (Show Host and co-creator), and I always believed to be true, which is the highest form of expression is achieved through being authentic. We have over the years developed a unique show that is unmistakable Ghanaian and has become Accra’s love letter to the world. We are excited to showcase our culture, share our experiences and show the opportunities that being the best version of you presents.
The news highlights the enduring quality of Sincerely Accra, in a highly competitive new media space. The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists, organisers of the African Podcast and Voice Awards (APVA), recognised the podcast as the Spotlight of the Year (Podcast Category) at their 2024 edition.
