Singer Josh Laryea 'convicted' to become pastor after 'about 52 days' of prayer and fasting
Pastor and singer Joshua Laryea has revealed how he was convinced after several prophesies to become a pastor in addition to his singing ministry.
He spoke to Taller Dee on the No.1 Gospel Showbiz programme on No.1 105.3 FM.
The Emere hitmaker said he initially thought he would be a "normal person" who would "do more of the music [as] ministry".
He said that owing to this "focus," whenever he received prophesies from pastors visiting his church about having "a call from God", he would tell them he had only been "called to sing".
He said when "it dawned on me" that the prophesies of being "a man of God" had become "too much," he decided to seek answers in prayer, and went "to wait on the Lord".
Thus, he went to "wait on the Lord for, I think, 52 days".
He said the protracted days of "prayer and fasting" were for him to "be sure".
At the end of the time of solitude, he said he received from God "the confirmation and everything".
He said God told him "exactly what to do and all I needed to do".
"From there, the conviction was strong and it gets deeper every day," the prolific songwriter emphasised.
Pastor Josh Laryea testified that "everything that has happened throughout these years proves the fact that God said so".
Pastor Josh Laryea founded Kharis Centre International in 2017.
