Yvonne Nelson: I don't have the 'heart' for marriage | Love is a scam

Yvonne Nelson has stated that she does not have the heart seemingly requisite for marriage unlike others in the sacred union.
The movie star made this known on Twitter, Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
"Married women get [have a strong] heart. Me, my heart no sherdaa [is not really] hard [tough; strong] like that," she wrote.
Saturday, January 28, the movie producer also argued on Accra-based Power FM that love is a scam.
"Love is a scam and we all know it, isn’t it so?" she posited, opining that everyone claims to be in love with an ulterior motive.
“I think love is a scam because we are all deceitful. If a person talks about love, there is something they are seeking, be it money or sex; it is conditional so it is a scam,” she said. "It [love] is just a way of telling you that I want something from you and so they just use the word love and it is usually the ladies being lied to by the men.”
The Ghanaian film notable also claimed that her experience of love has arguably been unrequited.
“I’m not sure I’ve been loved. When you look back, you will realise it was because of this that’s why he came into my life. I don’t believe in it," she said. "I feel like the love I want to express to the other person, they don’t have that love to give back. So it’s not like I’ve canceled it and I can never fall in love but I don’t think there is anyone out there who can give me the same, it is always conditional.”
She shared her priority when she thinks of a romantic relationship.
“First of all, I look at friendship... We should be friends, someone I want to spend the rest of my life with... You get along and the rest can follow,” the actress and social commentator noted.
Then she emphasised to host Agyemang that: “Love, I am sorry, I am not there yet. I used to love but it was like a joke. It is a scam."
Tuesday, February 14, Yvonne marks Valentine's by hosting fans at the cinemas as she premieres a brand new film titled 'Kotoka' starring herself, Majid Michel, Rosemand Brown (Akuapem Polo), and others.
