Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has responded to critics who claim his influence in the movie industry is diminishing, following his impressive success at the 2026 Ghana Movie Awards.

The Kumawood star became a trending topic after securing two awards at the prestigious event, a feat he says proves he remains one of the leading figures in Ghana's film industry.

Although LilWin was unable to attend the awards ceremony held on June 7, 2026, he later celebrated the achievement at home with his wife and children. In a video shared on social media, the actor proudly displayed his trophies and addressed ongoing discussions about his relevance in the entertainment industry.

Without mentioning any names, LilWin indicated that he was aware of the criticism but would respond to his detractors when the time was right.

"I haven't said anything yet, but I will speak when the time is right. Those who keep saying my time is over, I'm not ready to respond to them now," he said.

The award-winning actor questioned how anyone could suggest that his career was declining despite his recent achievements.

"I've won two awards, yet some people still claim my time has passed. How does that make sense?" he asked.

LilWin also expressed confidence in his future prospects, stating that he remains focused on reaching even greater heights. He added that he hopes to see Ghana achieve success on the global stage while hinting at bigger accomplishments ahead.

"I'm praying for Ghana to win the World Cup. When that happens and we achieve our goals, the media won't be able to keep up with us," he remarked.

The actor further challenged those who regularly compare him to other entertainers and insist that he is no longer a dominant force in the industry.

"Those who spend their time comparing people to me and saying I'm no longer relevant should take a look at these awards. If I wasn't relevant, would I still be winning?" he stated.

Ending his remarks on a confident note, LilWin thanked his supporters for their votes and unwavering loyalty.

"I'm the best actor, and there's nothing anyone can do about that. I'm grateful to everyone who voted for me," he said.
