Alan Kyerematen's M4C mourns statesmen, GAF officials in tragic heli crash and inferno

Movement for Change (M4C) has, “with unspeakable sorrow” mourned the tragic passing of eight people, including statesmen, in the “heartbreaking” crash of a Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Z9 helicopter.
The incident took place near Adansi Sikaman in the Ashanti Region, today, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, ending in an inferno which consumed everyone aboard the helicopter beyond recognition.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the departed whose lives were lost in the line of duty,” M4C said.
“To His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of the Republic of Ghana, the leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces, and the National Democratic Congress, we offer solidarity in this dark hour. The Movement for Change stands with you in national unity, prayer, and remembrance,” the statement continued.
“Let this tragedy remind us all leaders and citizens alike that our lives are fragile, our responsibilities sacred, and our duty to this nation greater than ourselves. May we rise from this sorrow with renewed resolve to build a Ghana that honours the sacrifice of those we have lost,” M4C emphasised.
Signed by M4C Spokesperson Solomon Owusu, the statement concluded, “May their souls rest in perfect peace. And may Ghana, in her mourning, find grace, strength, and purpose.”
Movement for Change (M4C) was convened by politician and 2024 presidential candidate Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen.
