The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, led a high-level delegation to pay a courtesy call on the newly appointed Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie.

Accompanied by the First Deputy Governor, Dr Zakari Mumuni, and other senior officials of the central bank, the Governor congratulated the Chief Justice on his appointment and reaffirmed the Bank’s readiness to strengthen institutional cooperation with the Judiciary.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss shared priorities and explore avenues to deepen collaboration in ways that enhance Ghana’s financial and judicial systems.

Key issues highlighted during the engagement included the need for efficient adjudication of financial and commercial cases, continued reforms to support financial stability, and broader cooperation to improve the regulatory and legal environment for the financial sector.

The visit forms part of the Bank of Ghana’s ongoing efforts to build strong partnerships with key state institutions in support of national development and good governance.
