Ghanaian man, 35, dies clearing snow in Hopkinton, USA
Patrick Sarpong, a 35-year-old Ghanaian, has tragically lost his life in Hopkinton, USA, after being struck by a tractor-trailer while clearing snow from his car.
The accident reportedly occurred under winter weather conditions, presenting reduced visibility and creating hazardous road conditions.
Emergency responders are said to have arrived at the scene, but Mr Sarpong was pronounced dead shortly after the collision.
US-based Dr Kwame Agyemang Boakye Danquah, President of the Ghana Advocacy Group (GAG), a wide reaching group with local and diaspora Ghanaians, reported the tragedy.
The tragic loss has sent shockwaves through both the local community in Hopkinton and the Ghanaian diaspora.
