Interior Minister hosts Chinese Ambassador to deepen Ghana–China cooperation
The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has hosted a high-level dinner meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tong Defa, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting, described as productive and forward-looking, centred on expanding areas of mutual interest—particularly security cooperation, infrastructure development, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of citizens in both nations.
According to the Interior Minister, Ghana and China have enjoyed decades of fruitful collaboration, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a strong, respectful, and mutually beneficial partnership.
Officials from the Ministry of the Interior and the Chinese Embassy were also in attendance, contributing to the discussions that highlighted Ghana’s readiness to deepen cooperation with China across key sectors.
The engagement forms part of Ghana’s broader diplomatic agenda to enhance strategic partnerships that support national development objectives.
