NIA management pays courtesy visit to former Executive Secretary Dr. William Ahadzie

The Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Mr. Wisdom Kwaku Deku, together with his management team, has paid a courtesy call on Dr. William Ahadzie, who served as NIA’s Executive Secretary from 2009 to 2013.
The visit, which forms part of NIA’s initiative to honour its past leaders, was aimed at drawing on the experience and wisdom of Dr. Ahadzie, who played a pivotal role in laying the foundations of Ghana’s national identification system.
During the interaction, Dr. Ahadzie commended the current leadership for their ongoing efforts to strengthen the Authority.
He encouraged the team to continue enhancing institutional capacity, adopt modernised systems to improve service delivery, and uphold the principles of transparency, innovation, and service excellence.
The NIA described the meeting as both warm and insightful, noting that it reflects its broader commitment to learning from the past in order to build a stronger and future-ready national identity system for Ghana.
