President Mahama consults with Council of State on 3 petitions for removal of Chief Justice Tokornoo

President John D. Mahama has received three petitions from various persons seeking the removal of the Chief Justice Gertrude Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.
The president has forwarded the said petitions to the Council of State to commence the consultation process mandated by Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution.
This was communicated in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President, and Minister, Government Communications, dated Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
