President Mahama to hold national dialogue with Organised Labour
President John Dramani Mahama has extended an invitation to representatives of organised labour to participate in a Presidential Dialogue on critical issues affecting the public sector and the welfare of Ghanaian workers.
Scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6 PM at Jubilee House, the dialogue aims to provide a structured, frank, and solution-oriented platform for engagement between government and labour, consistent with Ghana’s tradition of social partnership.
The discussion will focus on public sector salary reforms, pension sustainability, and related labour market concerns.
The president described the engagement as a priority initiative within the government’s broader economic stabilisation and reform agenda, seeking to reach consensus on reforms that are fair, transparent, and sustainable while safeguarding worker welfare and social justice.
Organised labour groups are asked to confirm participation and nominate representatives to the dialogue. The President expressed his anticipation for productive discussions during this important national engagement.
