Saint Kitts and Nevis PM to visit Ghana for 69th Independence Anniversary and bilateral talks

The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Michael Drew, will undertake an official visit to Ghana from Tuesday, March 3, to Saturday, March 7, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Minister for Government Communications and Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Prime Minister Drew will participate in Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebrations on Friday, March 6, highlighting the strengthening relationship between the two countries.

The prime minister and his delegation will begin their official programme on Wednesday with a meeting at the University of Ghana (UG), where he will engage the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, in discussions.

He will later be received at the Presidency for bilateral talks and an official luncheon.

During his stay, Dr Drew will visit significant historical and cultural sites, including the W. E. B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, and the Cape Coast Castle.

He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II.

Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis continue to strengthen bilateral ties through South-South cooperation, focusing on partnerships in education, health, trade, investment, and technology exchange programmes.
