YEA sends second cohort of 25 Ghanaian youth to UAE for professional driver jobs
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), under the leadership of CEO Malik Basintale, has successfully facilitated the departure of a second cohort of 25 Ghanaian beneficiaries to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take up jobs as professional drivers.
The initiative, carried out in partnership with the Ghana Labour Department, marks another significant achievement under the YEA’s Work Abroad Programme, which is designed to create dignified and sustainable employment opportunities for young Ghanaians outside the country.
According to the Agency, the beneficiaries completed all mandatory processes, including rigorous screening and comprehensive pre-departure orientation, ensuring they are fully equipped for safe and productive work in the UAE.
YEA described the latest deployment as a major milestone that reinforces the programme’s growing impact while contributing to Ghana’s visibility within the global labour market.
The Agency commended the beneficiaries and assured the public of its continued commitment to expanding international job avenues that offer Ghanaian youth improved livelihoods and long-term career prospects.
