A/R: Police arrest ‘Aputuogya Gangsters’ seen in viral video threatening victims with weapons
The police has arrested two suspects, Kwame Sarpong and Ibrahim Mohammed, who were featured in a viral video brandishing weapons and issuing threats to victims during their robbery operations.
The arrest took place on Sunday, 19 November, 2023.
The suspects, who identify themselves as the “Aputuogya gangsters,” were wielding machetes and knives in a video that circulated widely on social media.
They were tracked down and arrested at their hideout in Aputuogya, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
The two suspects are currently in police custody, where they are assisting with ongoing investigations.
