Ablekuma Fanmilk: Robbers attack bullion van, kill police escort

Robbers have killed a policeman during an attack on a bullion van at Ablekuma Fanmilk in the national capital, Accra.
The now-deceased policeman has only be identified as Amoah.
An amateur video footage captured some Good Samaritans trying to rescue the shot policeman from the van, with registration number GT 1254-10.
The attack followed a brief stop at a fuel station.
The driver survived the attack unscathed.
In a statement, the police said it is on a manhunt to arrest "a gang of four robbers" who attacked the van "and shot the police escort who has, unfortunately passed on".
"Our prayers and thoughts are with the family of our deceased colleague, in particular, and all personnel of the Police Service in general", tye statement noted.
It added: "We wish to assure the public that we will surely get the robbers arrested to face justice".
