Dennis 'Miracles' Aboagye released from EOCO custody
New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team member Dennis 'Miracles' Aboagye has been released from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after meeting his bail conditions.
Mr Aboagye was arrested at the Accra International Airport on Saturday evening as part of investigations into an alleged GHS5 5 million financial scandal linked to his previous Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD) leadership.
EOCO has said the investigation also involves former IMCCoD accountant Gerald Appiah, who has begun refunding some of the alleged misappropriated funds.
Mr Aboagye was granted GHS50 million bail with three sureties, two of whom were required to justify the bail with properties of equivalent value.
His release comes after he was escorted to his Larteh Akuapem residence in the Eastern Region.
Investigations into the case continue.
