‘Ekow Black’ remanded in police custody over viral assault and sextortion allegations
Christford Affadu ‘Ekow Black’ Danful has been remanded in police custody following allegations of assault captured in a viral video and additional claims of sextortion.
The suspect appeared before the Adabraka District Court on Friday, January 16, 2026, where Justice Nana Abena Asoh Owusu Omenyo presided. The court ordered that he remain in police custody and instructed that he reappear on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, as investigations continue.
The remand comes amid ongoing probes into an earlier assault incident that was widely circulated on social media, alongside fresh allegations that Danful threatened to share intimate images and engaged in conduct consistent with sextortion.
