ADB boss commends UEW for launch of 5-year strategic plan

The Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong, has lauded the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for unveiling its new five-year strategic plan (2025–2030), describing it as a bold and forward-looking blueprint that aligns with Ghana’s broader educational transformation agenda.
Mr. Sarpong noted that the plan positions UEW as a key player in shaping the country’s human capital development by equipping students with relevant skills for the future world of work.
“The University of Education, Winneba, has once again demonstrated vision and leadership.
This strategic plan is not only a roadmap for the institution’s growth but also a national asset that supports Ghana’s drive for educational innovation and transformation,” he said.
The UEW 2025–2030 strategic plan outlines the university’s commitment to academic excellence, digital innovation, research, inclusivity, and stronger partnerships with industry to address pressing national and global challenges.
Mr. Sarpong pledged ADB’s support for initiatives that foster quality education and skills development, stressing that investment in education remains a cornerstone of sustainable national development.
The launch of the strategic plan was attended by university management, faculty, students, and key stakeholders from the education and financial sectors.
