AMA announces scholarships for persons interested in studying Ga Dangme
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has announced the Ga Dangme Scholarship Scheme opening for Senior High School (SHS) graduates interested in pursuing studies in Ga Dangme at the Colleges of Education or Universities in the country.
This initiative is designed to cultivate a new generation of educators proficient in the Ga Dangme language, ensuring its preservation and promoting its instruction in schools within the metropolis.
The Ga Dangme Scholarship Scheme according to the AMA, provides an exceptional opportunity for SHS graduates to further their education and become qualified teachers of the Ga Dangme language.
The AMA said this effort aligns with its commitment to promoting cultural heritage and enhancing educational outcomes by increasing the number of trained language teachers available to schools in the Accra Metropolis.
Applications for the scholarship are currently open and must be submitted by August 9, 2024.
Interested candidates are required to send their applications to the Assembly through the Metro Director of Education.
For additional information or inquiries, applicants can contact the following numbers: 0535131555 or 0249804932.
The AMA is encouraging all eligible SHS graduates with a passion for teaching and a commitment to preserving the Ga Dangme language to apply for this scholarship and contribute to the educational and cultural development of the metropolis.
