Gov't's one-student-one-laptop initiative kicks off today, Bawumia announces

Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced that the government's One-Student-One-Laptop distribution initiative will commence today, June 12, 2024.
President Akufo-Addo launched the initiative on March 25, 2024, to promote e-learning and digitalization.
The program aims to enhance computer literacy and technological proficiency among young Ghanaian students by providing each SHS student with a pre-programmed laptop.
Addressing the gathering at his Youth Connect event at the Kumasi Jubilee Park on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, as part of his three-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region, Dr. Bawumia confirmed the start of the laptop distribution.
