Recall our wards: Parents of sacked Kumasi Tech Institute students pleads with mgt

The parents whose wards were sent home from the Kumasi Technical Institute for misconduct have held an emergency meeting with management of the school.
The parents want the school to allow their wards back to continue with their studies.
They, therefore, pleaded with management of the school to rescind their decision during the emergency meeting.
The management of the school is yet to rescind its decision on the matter.
Management took a disciplinary action against some 500 students of the school for misconduct.
The students, all boarders, were sent home for violation of school rules and misconduct.
The students during a rampage on Wednesday, 17 May 2023, are reported to have caused damage to school property.
Management of the school, who did not provide details on the matter, however, noted the suspension was to encourage discipline amongst students of the school.
The students who were asked by the school authorities to pack out of their dormitories will face the school’s disciplinary committee when they are recalled.
Meanwhile, a report on the students’ action has been sent to the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Directorate for appropriate action.
